The server's assistant chat
We save assistant chats only for dining community members who were told at sign-up that their chats are saved. If you are not a member, nothing you type in the chat is saved. Your server may get a short topic note for your visit, such as a wine pairing or a celebration, never your words.
For members, we save the chat's messages and the dishes it mentions, linked to that visit, to this phone and to your membership. We use them to personalize your visits and the offers you get if you agreed to hear from the restaurant.
Questions about allergies, intolerances or diet safety are never stored, for members or anyone else. They reach the staff only as a topic for that visit, so your server can check with the kitchen.
Saved member chats are deleted after 365 days.
A chat assistant provider processes your messages to write the replies. We do not use these chats to train AI models.
Members can delete their saved chats at any time: use Remove what this phone shared at the end of the menu, or Leave the community. Clear my preferences in the chat deletes the preferences we learned from your chats.
Deleting your data
While you are at the table, open the menu, scroll to the end and tap Remove what this phone shared. It removes the activity record this phone created at that restaurant.
If you join a restaurant's membership rewards, that restaurant keeps your check-ins, your points and, only if you add it, your birthday month and day. Leaving the membership deletes them. Member rewards never send you anything: no texts, no emails and no codes. Marketing messages come only from the restaurant, and only if you ticked a box for them. When you tick the text message box, we record that you agreed, the exact words you agreed to and when. No texts are sent until the restaurant turns on texting, and you can turn messages off on your member page or reply STOP at any time.
